A set of direct current converters KTE5 (400,125,16A; 440V) for drives of mill stroke, connecting rod carriage and quill feed for the Cold Pilger Mill was successfully commissioned.
The application of KTE5 will ensure:
- reduce the unplanned downtime;
- reduce the mill maintenance hours for staff;
- improve the quality of products due to stable rolling mill stroke.
As contrasted with existing similar products, the applied converters КТЕ5 are made with an option of natural air cooling. This technical solution significantly improves the reliability of equipment under rough working conditions in polluted production environment (dust, oil suspended solids, etc.), which can be confirmed by previous experience of a similar set of equipment successful operation since 2014, commissioned in another section of the same workshop.
