In December 2017, our company supplied and commissioned two systems SST-1000-220-2,5-UHL4 designed to replace the existing deteriorated excitation systems for hydro-generators No. 3 and No. 5, type SV 866 / 70-52-U4 for Vartsikhe Hydro Power Plant (Georgia).
Hydro-generators parameters:
- generator rated full-power – 28.75 MVA;
- generator rated voltage – 10.5 kV;
- generator rated starter current – 1580 A;
- rated excitation current – 940 A;
- rated excitation voltage – 200 V.
Excitation system parameters:
- Power converter parameters:
– rated rectified current – 1050 A;
– rated rectified voltage – 220 V;
- Back-up: dual channel scheme “1+1”;
- Rectification circuit scheme: 3-phase bridge diagram;
- Cooling: natural air;
- Regulator: automatic excitation control AVR-PSS;
Each excitation system consists of:
- power rectifier transformer – 1 pc.;
- thyristor converters and automatic excitation control channels №1 and №2 – Thyristor converter 1, Thyristor converter 2 – 2 pcs.;
- cabinet with automatic field damper – AFD – 1 pc.
